Richmond & Towers has been appointed by the House of Tequila portfolio, part of the Pernod Ricard group, to handle its UK and Europe trade and consumer press office from this month.
Comprised of the Olmeca, Altos and Avion brands, the campaign will position the House of Tequila as the most comprehensive Tequila portfolio in the world among drinks trade audiences. The programme will also further the category’s increasing popularity as a cocktail and sipping spirit among consumers in the USA and UK through initiatives such as The Tahona Society – the world’s leading Tequila education programme – and its accompanying annual cocktail competition, held in Mexico each September. A strategic thought leadership brief accompanies the press office.
The account will be handled by Richmond & Towers’ drinks PR specialists, led by Food & Drink Director, Simon Mowbray, and Senior Account Director, James Brown. Mowbray comments: “Tequila is one of the fastest growing spirit categories in the world at the moment, so it’s incredibly exciting to be joining the House of Tequila’s journey. The portfolio offers the ideal Tequila for every occasion, from the high energy on-trade environment to the rising sipping movement, and we look forward to converting the drinks trade and consumers alike into Tequileros with the House of Tequila.”
